Dr. Ficaro Presents at the 14th Turku PET Symposium

Dr. Edward Ficaro, president of INVIA Medical Imaging Solutions, will be presenting at the 14th Turku PET Symposium. The Symposium will be held May 27th – 30th with lectures, posters, and sessions specific to PET imaging. The meeting is hosted every three years by the Turku PET Centre – a Finnish National Research Institute focused on PET imaging. This year’s conference continues the focus on the ongoing development of research applications for PET imaging, including advances in cyclotrons, PET radiochemistry, modelling and software development, and preclinical and clinical PET imaging.


Dr. Ficaro will be presenting "Advanced quantification for nuclear cardiology using 4DM” at the Software and Modelling Session on the first day of the symposium. This session will cover the latest developments in absolute blood flow quantification, as well as inflammatory protocols. 4DM is used to quantify, review, and report on nuclear cardiac perfusion and function of PET and SPECT patient studies.

Dr. Ficaro is the creator of 4DM, and continues to focus on its technical development. Institutions and companies from around the world invite Dr. Ficaro to speak on a range of molecular imaging topics. He has been widely published in peer-review publications, non-peer review publications, book chapters, and abstracts, with over 125 such writings to his credit.
